Something on my mind a lot recently is this scene from the first episode of Westworld: I remember watching this when it came out thinking that it was so unrealistic as to be comedic. I very distinctly remember thinking “Any complicated AI being would no be able to be debugged just by talking to it. That’s so dumb, you would obviously need actual real debugging tools.
