A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk! Have at those stickers! is what Dracula would say when encountering my now completely screwed up laptop. In fact, his image—including the iconic quip—is placed prominently in the middle. What started with just four stickers, mostly Emacs (Lisp) related quickly spiralled out of control after the arrival of my Redbubble order. I’m sorry, I tried neatly arranging them, I really did. But the end result is, as my wife called it, chaotic1. But in D&D, chaotic alignments can be good as well, right? Minsc is chaotic good? Sarevok can turn into being chaotic good if you treat him well in Throne of Bhaal? So here’s my chaotic good laptop: The 2020 MacBook Air covered in gloriously weird stickers. Now it’s just a matter of time before a conversation is sparked. It will depend on the sticker they choose to discuss whether they’ll become besties. While Ton chooses not to apply stickers to avoid a conversation about their meaning, I am actively trying to provoke it. Dear students, if you’re reading this: surprise me! Why don’t you try to guess which is which? I’ll hand out a few hints for each sticker and reveal their true nature in a spoiler tag below. From the top left to the bottom right: Big black cloudy square: FSF. Pixelated weirdo in long darkblue coat: an old pirate. Mini round foil sticker: a certain Paw that needs to be Patrolled. Small pixelated bug: Into the Breach Menacing looking black bearded fellow with hat: LeChuck in Monkey Island 2 Perhaps I went a bit overboard with the (retro) gaming-related stickers. I had more but ran out of space. I realised too late that I was missing a music-related one. The biggest challenge was fixing a few overlapping edges that looked bad, where I had to rip off and redo a part of some stickers. The extra fine nib tip is already getting loose… I think she called it messy but since I’m not a big fan of football I decided to use the word chaotic instead. Get it? Messi? No? ↩︎ Related topics: / stickers / By Wouter Groeneveld on 16 October 2026.  Reply via email.
