I built a Chrome extension to keep XML sitemaps readable once browsers drop XSLT. It turned into a sitemap checker, and it taught me that almost nobody ships a clean sitemap. Not Adobe, not Anthropic, not GOV.UK, not Manchester City, not X, and not even Semrush.
