It’s always fascinating to hear these wide-ranging interpretations, to experience old songs with new ears, to connect the past with the present. Over the last 15 years, Lagniappe contributors have gone in all sorts of directions. There are no rules — the only boundaries are those of the imagination.And some of the most imaginative Lagniappes have been those that deliver purely instrumental pleasures, embracing melody, rhythm and texture.
