It’s too early to tell if it’s a trend, but 2026 will end up including two major Nintendo remakes: Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64. Today we were graced with a 40th Anniversary Legend of Zelda Presentation, which included the first lengthy look at the Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. Here are my off-the-cuff reactions: I think that the Kokiri Forest segment was the worst possible first-impression. Hyrule Field, Hyrule Castle Town, and the montage trailer look less jarring.
